Description
UPDATE: I’m working on a Mark II version. Because of the extensive cut list and parts list, plus the fact that USPS broke about a third of the tubes I shipped, this kit wasn’t profitable. I still like it, but I think I’ll fix a few things in need of improvement, then re-release it as a short kit, with the builder acquiring the Zero Air CF tube directly.
The easiest P-30 you’ll ever operate! If you hate blast tubes, reach rods, stuffing sticks, and blown motors stuck inside fuselages, then the Stick Figure P-30 is for you. You’d swear you’re running an indoor model. Wind off the plane, transfer the rubber one end at a time to the hooks, set the DT and you’re ready to launch. Fly the Stick Figure on 6-strands, 4 strands, or “slow burn” style with 3/32” x 4 strands. Construction is designed for an intermediate modeler. The kit includes a lightweight tapered carbon fiber tube, laser-cut balsa, basswood, spruce and ply parts, a ball bearing thrust bearing, bail-type freewheeler, fully-adjustable front end, a Peck-Polymers 9.5″ prop and reverse z-bend propshaft, winding rings and a simple viscous timer DT system. For full-on competition a better DT system is suggested. Photo-illustrated instructions explain how build, trim, and operate this head-turning contest winner. Covering and rubber aren’t included, but either 1/4-mil mylar or Japanese tissue work fine.
