Description
We all owe Joe Elgin a debt of gratitude for designing a gorgeous gas-powered free flight model called the Playboy back in the early 40’s while working for the Cleveland Model Company. His Playboys (Jr. and Sr.) sure set the standard for beautiful. This model is a rubber-powered 22″ homage to that original. It uses the Ikara molded 6″ prop (the curvy one) running on .08″ or 3/32″ (though smaller is very possible). The kit comes with all the usual Laser-Cut planes ingredients: Laser-cut parts, rubber, propset, pre-bent wire landing gear and wheels (both from Peck-Polymers) and a nice photo-illustrated instruction booklet. It’s intended as an indoor model, but more than one has been lost to a thermal outdoors. This one’s a crowd favorite, and launching a pretty flight from the gym floor is sure to bring a smile!
