Description
Laser-Cut Planes’ best seller! The humble Mountain Lion was named after the mascot of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, the site of my last involvement with the Delta Dart. I knew there had to be a better plane for first-time flyers. The Mountain Lion is a flat-airfoil plane that flies on the Sig 5.5″ or STEM 6″, depending on inventory. No pins and building boards are needed. Instead, you place one of the included sticky-dots on each wing joint, then flip the wing panel onto its back and smear glue into the joints. This plane works for students of all ages. I’ve used them in group builds for smart 8-year olds up through my really smart AP Physics kiddos! It was originally designed for inside flying in the gym, but I routinely hear from flyers who find their first thermal outside as well. With the built-in wing incidence and just the right propeller downthrust, first flight success is just about in the bag. About 15″ wingspan. Includes about five feet of rubber.
