Who doesn’t love a P-18? Calculus jokes aside, this was the “first derivative ” of the Vanguard. It’s built around the square-tipped Ikara molded 6″ prop on a 3-D printed hanger and will fly on everything from about .058″ up to .08″ rubber, depending on how much ceiling you’ve got to play with. The shaft and bearing are genuine Peck-Polymers parts. Play it slow and groovy at the high school, or swivel the wing back on its mounts (yes, a 4-bar linkage type thing) and go for that university fieldhouse roof with a big loop of rubber! Believe it or not, this kit won all three P-18 events at the 2019 Nats in Arizona: Junior, Adult, and Mass Launch. Cover it with HDPE and you can sneak right up to the 7.5 gram lower P-18 limit.
